Bullets must be sized if they are so large that they expand the case too much to freely enter the gun's chamber. All lead bullets must be lubricated (sold separately), but it is not absolutely necessary to size all cast bullets.Lee recommends bullets be relubed after sizing to be sure the sized portion is coated.Lee Liquid Alox, a reloading press and the Breech Lock Bullet Sizer Kit are required to utilize this kit, each sold separately and not included with this item. The Bullet Sizer & Punch sizes are to be used in conjunction with the Breech Lock Bullet Sizer Kit which fits any Breech Lock enabled reloading press. On the App press (not included with this item), bullets are sized as rapidly as you can operate the press lever. Nose first bullet sizing is the most accurate, distortion free and because you are pushing on the base of the bullet no special nose punches are required.
